Valley Waste Service, Inc. offers employees the following types of benefits:
1. Full time employment plus potential overtime. Employees are paid at an hourly rate plus time and one-half for overtime hours worked.
2. Work weeks can vary from 5-8 hour days to 4-10 hour days for the employee’s regular schedule.

Heavy Equipment Operator
Ohio Valley Waste (Youngstown) , Inc. is seeking a heavy equipment operator. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: - Operate, in a safe, compliant manner, dozers, graders, excavators, front end loaders, and other equipment as required. - Spread and compact residential, commercial, and construction and demolition waste disposed of at the landfill facility. - Spread, compact, and cover refuse with cover material each day. - Grade and maintain topography. - Report equipment failures, malfunctions, and maintenance needs. - Other duties as assigned. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: - A minimum of 3 years experience operating heavy equipment. - High school diploma or GED. - Must possess a valid driver's license. - Employees must provide their own safety-approved work boots. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: - This position is performed outdoors in varying weather conditions. - The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. - Ability to frequently work near moving mechanical parts. - Ability to sit/stand, walk, climb, bend/twist, crouch/crawl, and push/pull required. - Ability to lift/carry upwards of 50-100 lbs. for short distances.
